About Targa Classica

Targa Classica is Australia's premier classic car event, a thrilling journey that mirrors Italy's Grand Eventi. This event is a unique blend of adventure, culture, and competition, inspired by Italy's iconic classic car events but with a distinct local flavour.

Targa Classica is an event the competitors love, but it's much more than just about cars driving around the North East Victorian border and back to Melbourne.




It is about bringing people together, out of their houses, into the street, down to the local park, on the street corner to connect with the competitors and feel part of it.

This Historic event, whose roots are in Italy, connects with all ages and involves fine food, wine and festivities, as well as appreciation of the incredible cars.
 

There are many opportunities over the 4 days to enjoy watching the field of magnificent cars. You can watch them roar by as they drive the windy roads of Victoria, cheer them whilst they are challenged to drive the competition stages or enjoy them close up and personal as they are assembled each day at lunch and in the evenings.

The Route

The route is always meticulously planned to provide the best experience for competitors. Our Road Directors find the best roads they can and for 2025,

Albury NSW is central to our event. Competitors will drive over 1000km and compete in around 70 – 80 Time Trials over 4 days.

The route also considers opportunities for communities and spectators to enjoy the spectacle of Classic Cars. If you enjoy Classic Cars then you won't want to miss seeing the field of vehicles that take part in Targa Classica.

Targa Classica has established itself as a highlight on the Motorsport calendar, an event where you can compete in your classic car on Victoria's best roads enjoying the friendship of equally passionate people. La dolce vita!!

We are delighted to continue to grow and planning is underway for an exciting route for 2025.

Entry numbers are limited by venue capacity each night. Once numbers exceed capacity, we will begin a wait list.
