Just a quick note to tell you something you
probably already know.
The Japanese 0-300 km/h record has been
smashed,
it was 17.64 seconds by the HKS R33 GT-R in
1997,
but is now 13.00 seconds by the Veilside R32
GT-R in late 1998.
(HKS was not present in 1998).
It took 1435 kg, 657 metres to reach 9700 rpm
in fifth gear at 300km/h.
That is a quarter mile of 9.67 seconds, 0-100
km/h in 2.76 seconds,
0-200 km/h in 6.62 seconds.
It is producing 1080 hp from a 2.6 L with
twin Garrett GT3037 turbos running 2.4 bar of
boost (35 psi). Pictures attached,

The R34 GT-R was released on 8 January 1999,
and with a six-speed gearbox they can only get
quicker. |
