Seeking that old-school styling, Ryan added aluminum louvers for the rear window along with louvered quarter window covers to complete the look. Inside, he installed a red shifter knob and some carbon fiber trim, with plans for the complete kit down the road. The Roush intake with the Borla ATAK axle-back exhaust boosted performance while delivering that ‘mean’ sound Ryan was after. Future mods for Ryan’s aptly named ‘Batmobile’ include staggered wheels, dark gray racing stripes, and a body kit.

Ryan’s Mustang “is the perfect example for guys out there who maybe just picked up something new and are looking for a great place to start,” says Justin. Right out of the gate, his choices improved not only the performance and sound of his ride but also its looks, inside and out. Viewers can head to Ryan’s build page on AM’s website to see a full breakdown of the mods he chose for his 2021 EcoBoost Mustang.

GT500-Supercharged

Supercharged 2007 GT500 owner Ohio native Bobby L.

PAOLI, Pa. (June 13th, 2022) –  AM host, Justin Dugan chats with the proud owner of a supercharged 2007 GT500 to learn more about his appearance mods, his solid list of performance mods, and the reason behind each choice.

Justin begins the virtual interview with Ohio native Bobby L., by taking a closer look at his Cervini’s Cowl Hood. At 2.50 inches, the cowl is admittedly subtle, yet it makes a big difference to the look of the front end. Justin and Bobby review some other key mods including his Raxiom lights, JLT Big Air Cold Air Intake, Corsa Xtreme Axle-Back Exhaust, McCleod Ceramic Clutch Kit, and more. As the video wraps us, viewers will find out what other upgrades Bobby has in store for his ride. Justin’s final analysis? “I tell you what, if I had a Shelby like that, that year range, that’s exactly how I would build it. Sland on Alcoa’s, a little bit of a cowl hood, and just a lot of power.”

From the mean-looking cowl hood to the ‘wake-the-dead’ exhaust, this 2007 GT500 delivers loads of ideas for new and experienced Mustang owners alike. Viewers can visit the dedicated page below for full details on this clean and thoughtful build. A welcome addition to AM’s Mustang profiles, the online auto-parts provider plans to continue the video series with more interviews soon to be released.

About the AMC Javelin Register of Australia.

TurboClub built this website in 2007 for benefit of all owners of AMC Javelins.

The AM Javelin Register of Australia was first conceived around 1984 by Dianne and Alan Wilson who had two AMC Javelins as daily drivers. At this time there existed the Rambler Car Club of Victoria so most Javelin owners were involved and knew each other. It was decided the Javelin was unique and special enough to deserve a dedicated register and formation of a separate club.
To this end we banded together and Dianne decided to take on the workload of putting together a small booklet newsletter which had its first issue distributed in the Spring of 1984. This came to be known as “On Target” in deference to the Javelin “Bullseye” round badge of a small circle inside a larger one. We plan on using this site to share past magazines produced by the register, pictures and discussions of our progress, and useful hints on maintenance and restoration. That was THEN, this is 2021.

Unfortunately we lost Dianne in 2020. RIP and condolences to her family.
I wanted to rebuild this into TurboClub.com in her remembrance.
She was a tireless stalwart of the AMC Javelin in Australia and produced many issues of “On Target” over the years which were enjoyed by all members.

Many of these magazines are featured for reading on this website which I have rebuilt from my original back ups of the original website I created.
As time passed the website was abandoned and various named iterations have appeared and disappeared. TurboClub.com has been online constantly since 1997, and hope to be around for a few more decades yet.

Hot Lap | Turbo Charged EcoBoost Mustang Mods

The first 5 Mods You Need for Your EcoBoost Turbo Charged Mustang

PAOLI, Pa. (May 27, 2020) – In this month’s installment of AmericanMuscle’s Hot Lap series, Justin Dugan gets back to the basics with his recommendations for the first 5 performance enhancing mods on your 15+ EcoBoost Turbo Mustang.

In this post we focus on traction, styling, sound, and power among the many areas modders may choose to start their Mustang upgrades.

Starting with traction and styling, Justin’s first choice is a set of wheel and tires, which include a set of Rovos wheels.

These wrapped in a set of sticky Mickey Thompson Street Comp meaty tires for more grip.

Naturally, Justin’s next recommendation is to get the more suitable wheels
integrating into the body styling better.

This was made possible by replacing the original standard springs with front and rear SR Performance Lowering Springs.

These springs give the car a moderately low stance without going over the top.

Moving into the sound and power aspect of the build, Justin installs a Ford Performance by Borla Touring Cat-Back Exhaust.

A Turbosmart replacement Blow Off Valve gives the car a little more performance. The BOV benefits the new exhaust and turbo spooling.

To tie everything together, Dugan pairs the performance parts with an Unleashed Tune. As a result, this gives noticeable gains under the curve.

Bought from a car yard in Footscray when I first saw it in White duco, I remarked to the owner that it would be more saleable in BLACK. Driving by a few weeks later I spotted it on the lot in Black!!ramjavelin16.jpg (8985 bytes)

The Javelin was running the 401 with the blackjack headers and the torker single plane aluminium 4bbl manifold. Unfortunately the fuel supply was not up to the engine requirements and was cutting out mid track. Even stalling after hitting second we were still pulling very low 14’s.
